Mary Lee Barradas, age 67, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday morning Sept. 19th, she was the ex wife of the late Donald Barradas. She was born in Brockton on March 15, 1940, the daughter of the late Harold and Mary Lee. She graduated Brockton High and CapeCod Community College. She worked in retail sales at different department stores.
Mary was currently a member of the Collinsville Bible Church. This past summer she was an assistant teacher at the Vacation Bible School at Collinsville. She was formerly a member and CCD teacher for several years at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Dade City, FL. She was also a member of Ridge Manor Baptist Church in Ridge Manor, FL.
Mary enjoyed physical activities like walking and was a member at Curves. She loved animals and was very attached to the family cat named Gato. She was a supportive mother attending everything at Hernando High School including Band Boosters Club and Dance Studio activities.
She is survived by a daughter Donmarie and her fiancé Richard Sweeney of Tewksbury. She leaves her extended family, Richard’s sister Karen and her husband Carl Smart and their children Cody, Kaitlyn, and Kelsea Smart all of Laconia, NH; Richard’s parents Ron and Linda Sweeney of Tewksbury, Richard’s grandmother Margaret Skinner and Aunt Cathy Skinner both of Tewksbury; and her friends of twenty plus years, Sonya “Sunnie” Mosley and her husband Frank Mosley of Assonet, MA.
Her Memorial Service was celebrated Tuesday, September 25, at the Collinsville Bible Church at 2075 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA, 01826 Memorials to the Collinsville Bible Church or the Library Building Fund 11 Town Hall Ave., Tewksbury, MA 01876, are appreciated.
