SOUTHBRIDGE/DUDLEY - Zbigniew Bruce J. Bugajski, 54, formerly of Dudley and Charlton, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, in Harrington Memorial Hospital after a prolonged illness.
He leaves a son, David P. Bugajski of Dudley; a daughter, Jeanette M., wife of James Mead of Quinebaug, CT; his mother, Irene C. (Bilska) Bugajski of Dudley; a sister, Dottie M., wife of Eddie Stawasz of Tolland, CT; a brother, Daniel S. Bugajski of Dudley; 3 grandchildren, Jacob Bugajski and Emily and Benjamin Mead; his long time companion, Susan Evans with whom he made his home; 2 nieces, Tanya and Tara; an aunt and many cousins.
He was born in Czestochowa, Poland, the son of the late Stanley Bugajski. He moved to the Webster-Dudley area in 1961. He graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational Tehnical High School in 1974 and attended Quinsigamund Community College. Later he resided in Charlton and again Dudley before moving to Southbridge in 2005.
Mr. Bugajski was a contractor and expert drywall plasterer. He owned JDB Enterprises and then Choice Contracting.
He was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church and then a member of St. Joseph Church in Charlton. He enjoyed boating, photography, coin collecting and the outdoors.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at noon in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., Dudley. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours are from 5:30 to 8:00 PM Friday, Sept. 21, in the funeral home.
