Paul D. Polski, age 64, died Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Darlene (Routsis) Polski with whom he celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on June 19th.
He was born in Lowell on July 27, 1943, the son of the late Paul J. and Helen T. (Brennan) Polski. Mr. Polski was a lifelong Lowell resident, having resided in the Pawtucketville section for over 20 years.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 and was the recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a member of the American Legion Post 247 in Tyngsboro.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Polski was employed with St. Joseph Cemetery in E. Chelmsford for a brief time and was also a landscaper and mason in the Lowell area for many years. Paul was an avid bowler and golfer along with his wife Darlene.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sisters, Pauline Cabral and Patricia Polski, both of Lowell and Barbara Frediani of Hudson, NH; a niece, Pam (Frediani) McCafferty of Chelmsford and Greg Frediani of Pepperell; also a brother-in-law, David Routsis of Lowell. He was the brother of the late Frances "Frani" Grand.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 4 to 8pm. Funeral Friday morning with a prayer service to be held at the Funeral Home at 10 o'clock. Interment in Westlawn II Cemetery, Lowell.
