Obituary

Jason Brandon Cook, 22, of Enigma died Monday, September 17, 2007, in Lenox. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Marvin Williams and Rev. Shawn Suggs will officiate with burial to follow in Enigma Cemetery. Josh Stoner, Zack Bailey, John Shafner, Jason Garey and Ryan Smith will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be at the residence of his grandmother, Pat Hale, at 5655 Firetower Road in Enigma.

Mr. Cook was born on September 13, 1985 in Tift County and was the son of Matt Cooper of Elba, Alabama and Sheila Hale Cooper of Tifton. He was a student at the University of Georgia and a member of Barnes Chapel. He was Valedictorian of the Class of 2004 at Berrien County High School, member of the Beta Club, member of the FFA and member of the Berrien County High School Band.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook is survived by his maternal grandmother, Pat Hale of Enigma; his maternal grandfather, Billy Hale of Georgetown; two brothers, Dr. Ryan Stoner of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Brent Roland, serving in the United States Army in Iraq; and one sister, Ashley Cooper of Enigma.
