Obituary

Millbury-Donald P. Dickinson, 50, of 112 Providence Turnpike, died Saturday, Dec. 21 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus, Worcester after an illness

He leaves four sisters, Judith L. Cox of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla., Jean P. Hibbard of Worcester, Linda A. MacDonald of Pinnellas Park, Fla. and Cynthia G. Labrie of Smithfield, RI. as well as several nieces and nephews. His brother,Kenneth R. Dickinson predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Frank R. and Anna M. (Werme) Dickinson and lived in the Auburn area before moving to Florida where he lived for many years. He graduated from Auburn High School.

Mr. Dickinson had woked in the commercial sign business in Florida and had worked for the Saxton Sign Company in Worcester for several years before moving.

He was an avid reader, sports fan and enjoyed nature. He was a gifted cook.

A funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 23 at 8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., (www.brittonfuneralhomes.com) Auburn. Following cremation, burial in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn will be private.Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday, Dec. 23 from 6-8 PM.
