Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Williams, a 48 year resident of Medford, formerly of Brighten, died in Medford on September 11, 2007, following a lengthy illness. She was 84 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was a beloved daughter of the late Johnathon and Annie (Palmer) Williams. Ms. Williams was an employee of the Division of Employment Security for Massachusetts for many years and had been a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Boston. Throughout her life, she was a very active and athletic person. She enjoyed a very wide variety of activities. She loved to sew, knit and cook for her beloved family and friends. She also enjoyed working in her garden, was an avid reader, was a wonderful listener and could always get her point across to people in a very gentle way. Ms. Williams also loved her cats, had a great spirit for living life and was always upbeat and supportive of her many nieces and nephews. She was also a collector of clocks, clown memorabilia and other treasured items.
She will be sorely missed by her loving sister, Mazie Graham of Medford and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Lloyd Williams and Cecily Dean.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Monday, September 17, 2007, at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visitation was prior to the service, from 9 to 11 AM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
