Brother of Lori Lamont of Weymouth and Jeffrey McNamara of Brockton. He leaves his grandson Bryce and a niece Brittany Lamont of Weymouth.
A gathering will be held at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Rte 123, Brockton, Thursday at 11am followed by a funeral service at 12 noon. Burial at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Michael Clyde McNamara, 39, of Glendale, a native of Brockton, Mass., died unexpectedly Sept. 6, 2007 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona. He was the longtime companion of Debbie Sims. Mr. McNamara, a son of Sharon (Duvall) McNamara of Brockton, was born Oct. 31, 1967, in Stoughton, Mass.
He was raised and educated in Brockton, attending Brockton High School. He was known as "Tank" and "Big Mike."
While living in Brockton, Mr. McNamara had been employed as a stocker at Stop & Shop in Stoughton and he worked at the former Derringer's in Brockton.
He also worked out at Centre City Gym and attended St. Colman Church, both in Brockton. After moving to Arizona almost 10 years ago, he worked in construction and in security. He was also a personal trainer at Bally Total Fitness. His hobbies included weightlifting and participating in competitions, golfing and traveling. He especially enjoyed returning to Brockton to visit his family.
Mr. McNamara was also a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
In addition to his lomgtime companion and his mother, he is survived by his children, Brian McNamara of Tuttle, Okla., Lanysha, Dee Michael and Kordell McNamara, all of Glendale; his sister, Lori Lamont of Weymouth, Mass.; his brother, Jeffrey McNamara of Brockton; a niece, Brittany Lamont; and a grandson, Bryce.
