Albert D. Lassonde, age 88, died Thursday, Sept. 13, at Life Care Center of Acton after a brief Illness.
He was born in Lewiston, Maine on February 5, 1919, the son of the late Donat and Leda (Perreault) Lassonde. Mr. Lassonde resided in Chelmsford for a short time and was formerly of Lowell where he was a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a watchman with Pellon Corp. in Lowell and Gillette Wool for 28 years.
He is survived by eight nieces, Janet Speiker of Minnesota, Louise Miller, Lorraine Ouellette, Leda Marcouillier, Alice Klaxton, Elizabeth Brackett, and Mary Ellen Marcouillier, all of New Hampshire; also several great and great great nieces and nephews including Cea, Nicholas and Brenna Herbert. He was the brother of the late Cea Lassonde, Loretta Daigneault, Rhenda Lassonde and Alice Marcouillier and uncle of the late Pauline Daigneault.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Monday morning from 8 until 9am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Church at 9:30am.
