Mary Grace (Mazzone) DiPietro of Medford, formerly of Somerville. died Tuesday at the Winchester Nursing Center, in the company of her loving family. She was 94.
Mrs. DiPietro was born and raised in Boston’s North End, the daughter of the late Michael and the late Maria (DeRosa) Mazzone. In the early part of her life Grace worked as a candy dipper at Schraffts. After her marriage she and her husband settled in Somerville where they raised their family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank. She was a devoted mother to Joseph DiPietro of Wakefield, Frank DiPietro of Attleboro, Maria Bayous of CT, Michael DiPietro of Reading.
She was a loving grandmother to Christopher, Marisa, Kaleigh, Alex, Ainsley, Anna, Lidia, and Ava. She was a dear sister to Nicolina Petringa of Belmont, the late Antoinetta Cammarata,
Francesca Lawlor, Carmela Bradley, Ida Mazzone, Frank Mazzone and Rose Rosetti. Sister-in-law of Carmen Mazzone.
Family and friends may call Friday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Procession will gather at the funeral home Satuday morning at 8 AM with a mass of Christian Burial in Saint Joseph Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
