Whitney R. Green, 55, of Tifton died Friday, October 7, 2005, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2005, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Tim Paulk will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitaion will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2005, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Green was born on March 3, 1950 in Tift County and was the son of Robert Alderman Green and Maude Evelyn Walker Green, both deceased. He graduated from Tift County High School, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and the University of Georgia, where he obtained his Masters Degree. He was a friend to all and a best friend to many and a life-long, avid fan of Ole Miss football.
Mr. Green was the last of his family.
