Arnold R. MacCollum , 78 of Medford, died Tuesday at his home following a lengthy illness. Beloved husband of Frances (Lowther) MacCollum. Born in Quincy, son of the late Joseph and Irene (Kelly) MacCollum he was a graduate of Boston Technical High School. He later attended Northeastern University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1964. He continued his education at Suffolk University where he received his Master’s degree in Business and Administration in 1972.
A retired Navy Veteran he had served during WWII. Mr. MacCollum was a Mechanical Engineer, employed by the Honeywell Corporation for over 16 years, retiring in 1991.
Mr. MacCollum was a member of The Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of MA., the U.S. Coast Guard Auxilliary, and American Legion Post #45 in Medford for over 39 years. He is survived by 3 daughters, Laurie Rosa of Woburn, Linda Rickerson and her husband Dave of FL. and Carol MacCollum of ME., Grandfather of Christopher Rosa of Burlington and Shawna Russell of TX. Brother of Eileen Callahan of Hull, Brother in law of Priscilla Tringale of Medford.

Medford on Friday at 10 am. Funeral mass in St. Raphael’s Church, West Medford at 11 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Arnold’s memory may be sent to the Pancreatic Cancer Association, 2141 Rosecrans Avenue Suite 7000, El Segundo CA. 90245. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
