W. Philip Barrett, 64 of Methuen, passed away Tuesday September 11, 2007 following a long battle with cancer.
A graduate of Tenney High School in Methuen he was born and raised in this city. Phil was the widower of Sharyn F. (Pryce) Barrett who passed away in 2003.
He was born on August 19, 1943 in Methuen the son of the late Walter and Mary (Squires) Barrett.
He is survived by one son Michael S. and his wife Kimberly Barrett of Concord, NH, a granddaughter Ashley Barbour also of Concord, NH, and a sister Linda & husband John Blumberg of Goffstown, NH, and he was also loved deeply by Isabel Farmer.
He retired from the Methuen School Department after 22 years, and many years with Merrimack Valley Distributors.
Mr. Barrett was an official Arubian, and an avid Deep Sea Fisherman.
He also enjoyed his summer camping in Bradford, NH, at Lake Massasecum with all his beloved friends.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday morning at 10:30 A.M. from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 3-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
