Lino L. Bonfiglioli, 90, of Bridgewater, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at the Bridgewater Nursing Home after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Angelina (Santilli) Bonfiglioli.
Born Jan. 1, 1917, in Bourne, he was the son of the late Stephen and Amelia (Mazzoli) Bonfiglioli.
He attended Bridgewater schools and Wentworth Institute.
Mr. Bonfiglioli was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during World War II.
He was a self-employed general contractor for 25 years and worked as a machinist at Independent Nail for 30 years.
Mr. Bonfiglioli was the founder of the Veteran Council in Bridgewater, a member of the Vets Club and a past commander of Post 2125 in Bridgewater.
He had been a resident of Bridgewater for the past 80 years, coming from Sagamore.
Mr. Bonfiglioli enjoyed gardening, traveling and carpentry.
He was the husband of Angelina (Santilli); father of Stephen H. Bonfiglioli and Linda Sherman, both of Middleboro, and Nancy Jenkins of Bridgewater; brother of Steven Bonfiglioli of Burlington and Edward Bonni, Mary Ann Thomas and Richard Bonfiglioli, all of Bridgewater. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.
Funeral from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Friday at 8:15 am. Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9 am. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. Burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
