Cecelia M.(Rei) Marshall, 70, a lifelong resident of Norton died unexpectedly on Monday September 10, 2007 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Marshall to whom she was wed to on October 8, 1955.
Born in Norton, MA on November 22, 1936 she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Augusta (Teixeira) Rei.
She grew up in Norton and was educated in Norton schools. Mrs. Marshall was a domestic engineer at the former Country Haven Nursing Home in Norton for several years prior to retiring. She had formerly worked for GATRA in Taunton and at the former Fernandes Supermarkets.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton, she enjoyed times spent with her devoted family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her beloved husband of nearly 52 years she is survived by her loving daughters Joyce L. Marshall of Orlando, Florida and Cindy A. MacDonald, and her husband George Sr. of Norton. She was the sister of Constance Silva of Norton, Florence Santos of Norton, Virginia Jolicoeur of Attleboro and the late Mary Abreu, Theresa Trainor, Isabel Pestana and Clara DeMeritt, also survived by her cherished grandchildren Nicole MacDonald, George MacDonald, Jr. and Krystal MacDonald all of Norton as well as many nices and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday September 14th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church South Worcester St. Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 13th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
