Don Winter, 65, of Ashburn, GA. passed away Monday, September 10, 2007 at Tift Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held at a later time to be announced.
Mr. Winter was the son of the late Earnest Albert and Clive Clara Crombie Winter and was born in Jersey City, NJ. He was a member of the Ashburn Kiwanis Club, The Tiftarea Car Club and The Fire Ant Fevestial Committee. Mr. Winter had lived in Orlando, FL for a long number of years before moving to Turner Co. three years ago. A retired computer programmer, his hobbies and interest included raising birds and restoring vehicles.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Garver Winter, Ashburn, GA, his daughters, Amber Nichole Winter, Ashburn, GA, Marcia Gayle Winter, Gainesville, FL; a step son, Chad Wilson, Columbus, IN; a brother, John Winter, Charlotte, NC; a sister, Barbara Barber, Orlando, FL and a step-grandson.
