Bruno J. Marra, 81, past president of the New England Showman’s Assoc., died at the Brighten at Medford Nursing Home, Sunday evening.
Born in Cambridge and a former long-time Allston resident, he was the son of the late Cosimo and the late Rosaria Marra. Bruno was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 25 and drove for Beacon Freight Liners for over 20 years. He also was a driver and concession operator for Fiesta Shows, participating in many carnivals throughout the area. He was past President of the New England Showmen’s Association (NESA).
He was the beloved father of Cheryl Markarian of Belmont. He was a loving grandfather to Jacquelyn and Daniel Markanian. He was a dear brother to Cosmo Marra and John “Sonny” Marra both of NH. He was a dear brother in law of Connie Marra and Pat Marra and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family and friends may visit Wednesday 3 thru 9. Interment will be private.
