Tiverton, RI - Ronald P. Rego, 60, of Tiverton, formerly of Little Compton passed away Saturday, September 8, 2007 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Cynthia A. (Manchester) Rego, also formerly of Little Compton.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph S. Rego, Sr. and the late Georgianna (Elshant) Rego, he had lived in Tiverton for the past 30 years. Mr. Rego worked for the Local 4 Operating Engineers Union of Boston doing environmental cleanups. He enjoyed working on computers and was a Ham Radio Operator using the call sign N1QLZ. He had a pet cat named Pink Rego and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Including his wife, he is survived by 4 sisters: Mary Benson of Millis, MA, Agnes Braz of Tiverton, Georgianna Souza of Stewart, FL and Natalie Darling of Little Compton; 3 brothers: Joseph Rego of FL, Franklin Rego of Little Compton and Robert Rego of Tiverton; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rego was brother of the late Lydia C. Rego and Louise Almeida.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton at 11:00 A.M.
