TYNGSBORO - Mildred I. (Jabczon) Matwiejczyk, 92, a resident of Tyngsboro, died Friday, September 7th at Wingate Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Lowell. She was the loving wife of the late John Matwiejczyk who died in 1974.
She was born in Lowell on July 24, 1915 the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Victoria (Mika) Jabczon.
Mrs. Matwiejczyk was employed by several local textile businesses.
In her free time she enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her son, Stanley J. Matthews and his wife Gay of Stockton, CA; her daughter, Jane M. Matwiejczyk of Tyngsboro; two grandchildren, Keith Matthews of Dallas, TX and Dr. Kenneth Matthews and his wife Emily Matthews of Cranford, NJ; many nephews and nieces.
She was also the sister of the late Elizabeth Gazda, the late Helen Nietupski, and the late Blanche Kukulski.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:00 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Lowell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Hospice of Greater Lowell, P.O.
