Phyllis M. (Mott) Hurd, 82 of Franklin died September 8 in the Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Norwood, October 12, 1924 the daughter of the late Sidney and Mabel (Hill) Mott, Mrs. Hurd was raised in Walpole and had lived in Franklin since 1957.
Mrs. Hurd had worked for the Tupperware Company in N. Smithfield,RI and for the W.A. Wild Company in Holliston.
Mrs. Hurd loved to read.
She is survived by her children, Francis Hurd of Baltimore, Maryland, Robert Hurd and his wife, Margaret of Franklin, Patricia Bertone of Bellingham, Paul Hurd of Bellingham, Sandra Gauthier and her husband, David of Uxbridge, Joseph Hurd of Franklin and Randy Hurd and his wife, Deborah of Baltimore. She is also survived by her step children, Dale Leong and her husband, George of Jamaica Plain and Albert Hurd of Jamaica Plain. She was the mother of the late Harry Hurd.
She was the sister of the late Harold Mott.
She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St., Franklin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Lake Grove Cemetery in Holliston.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
