Fay L. Browning, 87, of Abbeville, died Friday, September 7, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9, Sunday evening, September 9 at Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M., Saturday, September 15, at Vista Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, Miami Lakes, Florida. Interment will follow in Vista Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-10 Friday evening, September 14 at the funeral home in Miami, Lakes, Florida.
Mrs. Browning was born March 12, 1920, in Dawson, Georgia, to the late Claude Thomas and Lois Harrison Miller. She lived in the community for the past seven years and was a former resident of N. Miami, Florida, where she retired a bookkeeper with the city gas department. Mrs. Browning was a graduate of Ponce De Leon High School in Coral Gables, Florida. She was a member of Ives Dairy Road Baptist Church in N. Miami, Florida.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles Edwin & Sonia Browning of Tallahassee, FL; daughter & son-in-law, Patricia & James E. Westberg of Abbeville; grandchildren, James E. Votino of Sanford, FL, Christina Jo Westberg of Coral Springs, FL, Deborah Allen of Coconut Creek, FL, Vianca Reeves of Pensacola, FL, Charles Browning, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Timothy O’Quinn of Alachua, FL, and Rheny Mendez of Tallahassee, FL; 5 great-grandchildren, Matthew Votino, Michael Votino, Cole Ryan Allen, Shania O’Quinn and Timothy O’Quinn, Jr.; sisters, Eris Carlisle of Dade City, FL, Louise Evans of West Palm Beach, FL and Ruth Richard of Melbourne, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Max Browning, daughter, Jeanne Elizabeth O’Quinn, brother, Claude Keith Miller, sisters, Claudia May Burns and Frances Ann Chojnacki.
