Elizabeth A. “Betty” Halpin, 97, passed away on September 6th, 2007 at the Rosewood Manor Rest Home in Harwich. She has been a resident of South Yarmouth for several years but spent the majority of her life living in Malden. Betty spent several years working as a clerk for the A&P Supermarket main office in Boston. She was a long time parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Malden. Betty was predeceased by her parents John and Bridget (Higgins) Halpin; her siblings Paul, John, Mary, James, Francis and Thomas Halpin and Catherine Smith; and her niece Elizabeth Landrigan. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Maureen LaLumiere, Kathleen Valenti, Jean Foley and Francis, Robert, Kevin, James and John Halpin. Elizabeth was also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Saturday September 8th at 12 Noon followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
