EW BEDFORD — Elizabeth Frances (Benoit) Reed, age 87 years, of New Bedford, died Sunday, September 2, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard Reed.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Henry Leo and Ellen (Bassett) Benoit and lived in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School and a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Elizabeth loved to cook, garden and knit and most of all loved to be with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Richard A. Reed, of Newport, R.I., and Robert F. Reed of Bourne, Ma.; her daughters, Sheila A. Praisner of New Bedford, Patricia Pimental of Marion and Janice E. Faucher of Dartmouth; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Michael Praisner and sister of the late Joseph Henry Benoit.
Her private funeral arrangements are with the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford with burial in the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.
