Obituary

Stephen B. Manning, 62 of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at his home. Mr. Manning was born in Boston, MA on August 8, 1945, a son of the late Bernard L. and Esther E. (Coburn) Manning. He was a lifelong resident of Londonderry. He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School, class of 1963. Mr. Manning then joined the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Wallace L Lind (DD703) and attained the rank of Electricians Mate 1st Class. He was a Viet Nam veteran and when he returned home he served for more time with the active reserves. In civilian life he was a Master Electrician and had worked for Beacon Electric in Manchester, NH. In his spare time he enjoyed building engines, motors and models and was currently building a P51 Mustang to fly. He also enjoyed reading and was a history buff.

He is survived by a son, Matthew B. Manning and his wife Christine of Londonderry, a daughter, Erin K. Manning of Laconia, NH, a brother, Bernard C. Manning and his fiancé Kathleen Michaud of Rochester, NH, a niece, Sally Manning-Camire, a nephew, Patrick Manning and also by cousins.

Visiting hours were held from 5-8pm on Thursday, September 6, 2007 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The funeral was held at 1:00PM on Friday in the funeral home. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Londonderry with military honors.
