Dorothy F. Wiley, 100, formerly of Derry, NH died September 3, 2007 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH after a period of failing health. She was born in Boston, MA on February 26, 1907, a daughter of the late Howard and Jennie (Armstrong) Dearborn. She had been employed as a shoe worker at Klev-Bro Shoe Company in Derry for many years. Dorothy treasured the book “Gone With the Wind” and enjoyed reading and in later years hearing passages from the story.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Ball and her husband Foster of Manchester by the Sea, MA, Jean Charland of Derry and Joanne Button and her husband Chester of Boscawen; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Raymond of Derry and also by several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Henry L. Wiley in 1982 and a daughter, Barbara Smith, and a brother, Fred Dearborn.
There were no calling hours. A graveside service was held Thursday, September 6th at 11 AM at Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry, NH.
