MacDONALD, John A.- Of Malden, September 1st. Devoted companion of the late Barbara MacLean. Beloved brother of Mary E. Poore, Joseph MacDonald, Paul MacDonald, James MacDonald all of Malden, Martin MacDonald of Wisconsin, Ann Hogan of Malden and the late Daniel and Thomas MacDonald. Lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Friday morning, September 7th at 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 PM.Services will conclude with interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. Late United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. Former employee of Converse Rubber and the City of Malden Water Dept.

John at 73 years of age, passed away at his home after a long illness. Born in Malden and a lifelong resident, he was a member of the Irish American Club as well as the East Side Club.
