Richard Clark Wilbur, Sr. Richard Clark Wilbur, Sr., 73, Clarksville, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, of a heart attack. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harriett Harris officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am till the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The remains are to be cremated and burial of the cremains will be held at a later date. Born May 22, 1934 in Louisville, Ky., Richard Wilbur was the son of the late George Wilbur and Alberta Hillerich Wilbur. He was preceded in death by one brother, George (Buddy) Wilbur. He was the owner of Wilbur Contruction Co. for many years and was retired. He attended Salem United Methodist Church and was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian. Church. An active member of Clarksville Rotary Club, he was also active in mission work with Salem United Methodist Church, and did volunteer work within the community. He was also active in Tennessee Trigeminal Neuralgia Support Group. He is survived by his wife Doris Roberts Wilbur, son Richard Clark Wilbur, II (Gina) of Palmyra; daughter LouAnn Wright(Steve) of Cleveland,TN,; step-daughter Denise Joiner of Clarksville, and sister Juanita Kay of San Diego, Calif. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Mary Katherine Wright, Robert Clark Wright, Isaac Crenshaw Wibur, Miles Hunter Wilbur and one step-granddaughter Zoe Elaine Joiner.
