Ivalee Burney Johnson Ivalee Burney Johnson, 85, Clarksville, died Saturday, Sept.1, 2007, at Gateway. The funeral will be held at 11am Tuesday at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman and Dr. John Laida officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3pm till 8pm Monday and from 9am till the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Sept. 1,1922 daughter of the late Maxie Thomas Burney and Ellen Sykes Burney. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of Frances Conklin Sunshine Sunday school class. She taught Sunday school for 45 years.She was a volunteer for Memorial Hospital. She was Past Matron of No.202 Order of The Eastern Star, Past Grand Marton of Tennessee and past secertary of Mary Morrison order of the Eastern Star. Survived by her husband of 64 years Spencer Johnson of Clarksville, one son Patrick(Sherry) Johnson of Brentwood and one grandson Adam Johnson of Nashville. Pallbearers will be Adam Johnson, Howard Harrison, George Lee, Edward Elmer Wade, Dawson Durrett, Don Woodard, Gary Norris and Robert Lathem.
Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Stokes, Ivan Scholle, Frances Conklin's Sunshine Class and Spencer Johnson's Sunday Class. Memorial can be made to the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home.
