Age 68 of Brighton after a long and brave battle with breast cancer died August 31, 2007 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
Born in Boston and worked for the last 20 yrs as a legal secretary at Hamilton Brook Smith Reynolds in Concord. Devoted mother of John F. Sparaco of Brighton. Sister of Joanie Crosby and her husband Norman Crosby of Los Angeles. Aunt of Daniel & Andrew Crosby both of Los Angeles.
Funeral from the Lehman & Reen Funeral Home Thursday September 6th at 9 am. Funeral Mass in St. Ignatius Church 28 Commonwealth Ave. Chestnut Hill at 10 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hrs. Wednesday September 5th from 4-9 pm. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton.
Jackie, for the last 27 yrs., has also been a dance instructor for the Brookline Adult education program, teaching swing and tap. She attended the Hazel Boone studios in Boston, and continued her education at Ursuline Academy in Boston, Mount St. Joseph Academy in Brighton and graduated from St. Aidan’s in Brookline. She became a professional dancer in New York as a Radio City Music Hall Rockett. During her career she worked at the Copa, traveled with the USO, danced in Nevada, Kentucky and in Boston at the famous supper club Blinstrub’s. After retiring from dancing Jackie worked at Combined Insurance Co. for 15 yrs. She choreograph many musicals at Mount St Joseph Academy, Catholic Memorial, the Weston Friendly Society , The First Parish Friendly Society and many other places in Greater Boston. She returned to the stage with the Boston Chapter, Radio City Music Alumnae and traveled the state with rave reviews, most recently with the Reagle Players in Waltham, appearing in Remembering the 40’s. Jackie left the stage a few years ago but her toes never stopped tapping! She touched many lives along her journey and will be sadly missed by her son, coworkers and many friends.
