GLOUCESTER: Nina J. (Orlando) Foley, 85, formerly of Sheedy Park, died Friday, August 31, 2007 in the Golden Living Center, Gloucester.
Born in Gloucester on September 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Nicastro) Orlando. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester.
Nina was employed at the former Gloucester Pants Co., Mighty Mac Manufacturing and the Kennebicks Fisheries. In the early 1940’s Nina was also a cover model for multiple industrial magazines. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She will be fondly remembered for her beauty and charm.
She is survived by her son, Joseph P. Foley and his fiancé, Sonia Anderson, of Gloucester, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Vincie Fortado of Essex and Mary and Vincent Saputo of Gloucester, one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth Orlando of Gloucester, five grandchildren, Sean, Zachary, Devin, Darien, Deyanna Foley all of Gloucester and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Virginia Orlando and a sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Gene Aiello.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday in the St. John the Baptist Church, Essex at 9:30 A.M. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 8 – 9 A.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be privately held in the Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
