Edward J. Deasy, of Goffstown, NH, died Thursday at home after a long illness.
Born in Chelsea, he lived in Goffstown for the past 6 years and formerly of Everett. Edward was the son of the late Ernestine B. (Medige) and Edward J. Deasy Sr. Edward was a Technician with Verizon for 42 years in the Chelsea office and retired in 1998. He was a late U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Everett Council and the IBEW Local 2222.
Beloved husband of Mary (Hanson) Deasy. Devoted father of Debra Diamond of Londonderry, NH, Elaine Russo of Danvers, Edward J. Deasy, Jr. of Medford, Michael Deasy of Everett, and the late Mary Joy O’Malley. Also survived by 11 loving grandchildren.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday 2 - 4 and 7 – 9.
Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
