Obituary

DRACUT - Samantha Lynn Grimard, 18, a resident of Dracut, died Wednesday, August 29th from injuries sustained in an automobile accident with her longtime boyfriend the late Bryan R. Willett, also of Dracut.

She was born in Lowell on March 12, 1989. Ms. Grimard attended the former Dracut Middle School and graduated from the Dracut High School, in the class of 2007. She was enrolled in the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where she was to enter as a freshman in the fall. Her dream was to become a plastic surgeon.

Ms. Grimard was employed by Dracut House of Pizza.

She was a cheerleader at Dracut High School and Dracut Pop Warner. Ms. Grimard studied ballet, tap and jazz at the Lisa Pilato Dance Studio in Dracut. She was a very hard worker. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and shopping at the mall.

She is survived by her father, Stephen M. Grimard and his companion Gina Duchemin of Dracut and her mother, Lisa Y. (Gagne) Grimard and her companion, Allen Boston of Dracut; her brother, Matthew S. Grimard of Dracut; her paternal grandmother, Kathryne Sawtelle of Lowell; her maternal grandmother, Claire Gagne of Lowell; aunts and uncles, Debbie and Bob Matarazzo of Salem, NH, Bobby Gagne of Lowell, Brenda Gagne and her fiance David Surprenant of Lowell, Linda and Ed Gass of Lowell, Cheryl Hogopian of Spencer, Roger and Elaine Grimard of Dracut, Pam Grimard and her fiance Brian Dowd of Lowell, great aunts and great uncles; many cousins; many friends including her best friend, Jackie Marshall of Dracut and a family friend, Michael Mallardo of Dracut.

She was also the granddaughter of the late Roland Gagne and the late Roger "Pete" Grimard and the niece of the late Raymond Gagne.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on WEDNESDAY, at 9:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish at Ste. Therese Church in Dracut. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
