Gilford-Robert Lincoln McCormick, 77, of 303 Old Lake Shore Road died peacefully Thursday evening, August 30, 2007 at Lakes Region General Hospital with his wife by his side.
Robert was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 12, 1930, the son of the late John and Irene (Kelley) McCormick. He has been a resident of the Lakes Region for the past 14 years coming from Massachusetts.
Prior to his retirement, Robert was employed by the City of Boston Water Department as a Supervisor. Robert served his country honorably with the United States Army.
Robert is predeceased by his beloved son Bobby McCormick.
Robert is survived by his wife of 7 years, Lise M. (Boutin) Bunnens-McCormick of Gilford; a son, Michael McCormick; two daughters, Susan Lavey and her husband Jerry, and Sandra Antonino and her husband Tom all of Massachusetts; two brothers, William McCormick and his wife Marguerite of Colorado, and Richard McCormick and his wife Helen of Massachusetts; a stepson, Eric Bunnens and his wife Summer of Punta Gorda, FL. Seven grandchildren, one great grandson, three step grandchildren, as well as many niece and nephews also survive Robert.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life was held at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Family and friends were invited to attend.
