Mr. James Earl Miller was born on July 11, 1933 in Madison, Alabama to the late Bessie Macklin and the late Robert Miller.
He confessed hope in Christ August 6, 2006 at First Missionary Baptist Church. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Delois McCaulley. To this union seven children were born.
One child preceded him in death, Carl Allen Miller.
He leaves to cherish his memories six daughters: Janice Humphrey (Steve), Cathleen Miller, Glenda Pope, all of Huntsville, Alabama, Shannon Scale of Madison, Alabama, Margie Everson and Joyce Tuck (Roosevelt), both of St. Louis, Missouri; four sons: Fred Strickland, Jerry McCaulley, both of Huntsville, Alabama, Larry Rogers (Brenda) of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Roy Gilliam (Tammy) of Birmingham, Alabama; three sisters: Fannie Washington of Harvest, Alabama, Bessie Washington of Madison, Alabama and Mary Tibbs of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers: Robert Miller of San Diego, California, Rueben Washington of Chicago, Illinois and Willie B. Washington of Detroit, Michigan; three sisters-in-law: Hattie Holden (Freddie), Annie Gideon (Samuel) and Annie Washington, both of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of grands, great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. He also leaves a very special and devoted loved one, Annie Pride.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from the First Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Earla L. Lockhart officiating. Interment will be held in the City of Madison Cemetery. The remains of Mr. Miller will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
