Walter F. Brennen, Jr., 86, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, August 30, 2007 at his home. Mr. Brennen was born in Lawrence, MA on November 14, 1920, a son of the late Walter F. and Sadie E. (McCann) Brennen, Sr.. He was a resident of Derry since 1964, formerly living in Salem, NH where he had been employed as a realtor for many years. Mr. Brennen was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He was also the owner and operator of Brennen's Bullmastiffs in Derry since 1972, and was formerly employed by Raytheon Corp. for 31 years, retiring in 1981.
He is survived by his wife, Bette R. (Sullivan) Brennen of Derry; three daughters, Diane Kozdra and her husband William of Salem, Sandra Baker and her husband Robert, and Linda Kinney and her husband Kurt, all of New Port Richey, FL; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, the family requests that services be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockingham VNA Hospice, 137 Epping Rd., Exeter, NH 03833. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
