Joseph David Harnage, 47, of Lenox died Thursday, August 30, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in the West Berrien Community. Brother Junior Swain will officiate with burial to follow in Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in the West Berrien Community. Pallbearers will be Travis Brown, Phillip Clarke, Earl Mullis, William Stodgill, Derrick Sutton and Chad Sutton. Honorary pallbearers will be his wonderful brothers in Christ Jesus at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in the West Berrien Community. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 31, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Harnage was born on November 3, 1959 in Nashville and was the son of Buck Harnage, deceased, and Doris Duvall Harnage of Nashville. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Janice Harnage; his paternal grandparents, Vernon and Mizzie Harnage; and his maternal grandfather, Jim Duvall. He was a front line supervisor for Cooper Tire Company in Albany and a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in the West Berrien Community. He served for three years in the United States Army and was a lifetime resident of Berrien County.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Harnage is survived by his wife, Jennifer Fletcher Harnage of Lenox; two sons, D. J. Harnage of Lenox and Joe Harnage of Lenox; his maternal grandmother, Vesta Duvall of Nashville; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Reita Harnage of McDonough, Timmy and Carol Harnage of Nashville, Matthew and Amy Harnage of Nashville, and Stephen and Telisa Harnage of Nashville; and many nieces and nephews.
