Constance Anne Marie "Connie" (Dugas) Houde, a former 52 year resident of Wakefield, MA, who lived in Rochester, NH, for 5 years and Stoneham, MA, for the last year, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington, VT. She was 88 years old.
Connie was born on October 22,1918, in Lynn, MA. Connie grew up in Lynn where she attended St. Jean's Parochial School and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. She also attended Burdette College. She worked for many years with Withams Caterers in Lynn and Ma's Caterers in Wakefield. Connie was a long time member of The Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield, MA, and a member of The Most Blessed Sacrament Church Women's Guild.
Connie is the beloved wife of the late Roland A. Houde. She is the devoted mother of Suzanne Stack and husband Patrick of Stoneham, Louise Lambrukos and husband Philip of Medford, Lorraine Sayward and husband Paul of Rochester, NH, Jacquelyn Phipps and husband James of Wakefield, Denise Sanford and husband Robert of Salem, NH, Marie Bartlett and husband Charles of Monkton, VT, Richard Houde and wife Patricia of York, ME, Robert Houde and wife Bonnie of Stoneham and Ronald Houde and wife Darlene of Hempstead. She is the loving "Memere" to 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Albert Dugas and Louise Jodoin both of Conway, NH, Sr. Marie Dugas SSA of Worcester, Norman Dugas of Strafford,NH and the late Jeannette Roderick.
Connie's Funeral will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 11 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, WAKEFIELD/MELROSE, line followed by her Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield, at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Connie will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield, MA.
