Margaret M. (Dowd) Diamond of Bridgton, ME formerly of Dover died August 26, 2007. She was 62. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Diamond.
Mrs. Diamond received her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Newton Junior College and went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Boston University. She held many positions in the nursing field including, school nurse at Bridgton Academy in Maine, psychiatric nursing at Jackson Brook Institute for the mentally retarded, nurse consultant at Camp Bridgton, working with the elderly and pediatric and psychiatric nursing. She also dedicated her time as a soccer and softball coach, scout leader and ski instructor. She was the recipient of the lifetime community College Teaching Credential in Health.
She was the loving mother of Michael Diamond and his wife Myla of WA. She was the grandmother of Kea Lani Diamond. She was the sister of Carole Slaman of Hopkinton, Dennis of Dover, Henry of Dover and Michael of Weston.
A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Most Precious Blood, 30 Centre St., Dover, Saturday, September 8, at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. It was Maggie’s wish that random acts of kindness be shown in her memory in lieu of flowers.
