Anita Lynn Slocum, 60, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 27 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Lucy A. (Charles) Slocum. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she grew up in Canonsburg, PA and graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School, Class of 1965. She also attended Penn Commercial Business School as well as nursing school and truck driving school. She was a resident of Stoughton for several years. Miss Slocum was a secretary at several different business offices in the Stoughton area. In her free time she loved to crochet.
Miss Slocum is survived by her daughter, Leah Slocum of Harrisburg, PA, as well as her grandchildren, Briel, age 8, Tajo, 7 and Sammy, 11 months. She was the sister of Carol, Kimberly and Deborah Slocum all of Pittsburgh, PA.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Burial will be private.
