CHARLES J. "CHARLIE" PANETSOS, 75, of Scituate, formerly of Hull, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 27th, 2007 at the Coyne Healthcare Center in Rockland after a gallant fight with Alzheimer's Disease. Mr. Panetsos was born in Dorchester and was a Hull resident for 72 years before moving to Scituate. A Jewelry salesman, he was the former proprietor of Princess Accessories in Hull. He had many interests and was active in many organizations including; a founding member of the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church in Cohasset, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Hull Co-operative Bank, an honorary member of the Board of Directors of the Abington Savings Bank, a 50 year member of Old Colony Masonic Lodge in Hingham, a member of the Aleppo Temple in Boston and was a United States Marine Corps veteran.
He leaves his beloved wife, Lois (Kelly) Panetsos of Scituate and was the loving father of Lauren Lee Molloy and her husband James of Madison, NH, and Valery Gretchen Billings and her husband Chief Richard Billings, Hull Police Dept. of Scituate. Grandfather of Taylor Charles Billings and Morgan Richard Billings also of Scituate. Brother of Kathleen "Kay" Marken and her husband George of Falmouth, Anita McNulty and her husband Arthur of Milton, Penelope "Penny" Adrian of Melrose and Nicholas "Nick" Panetsos and his wife Michelle of Hingham. Brother in law of Russell Kelly and his wife Elaine of Davie, Florida.
Also survived by his nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, Aug. 30th at 10:30 AM at the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, 811 Jerusalem Rd., Cohasset, MA 02025.
Friends may visit at the church prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Building Fund of the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, or to St. Basil's Academy Childrens' Fund, Garrison, NY 10525 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
The interment will be in the Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
