Philip Consolo, 93, of Westport passed away Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Rose M. (Fazio) Consolo.
Born in Boston, son of the late Joseph and Fedela (Ricci) Consolo, he had lived in Reading, MA prior to moving to Westport. He was a hairstylist at the hotel Sonesta in Cambridge, MA until his retirement. Mr. Consolo was a violinist with the Reading Symphony Orchestra for about 32 years.
Survivors include a daughter: Joanne Maxwell-Barbarito and her husband Frank Barbarito of Westport; a brother: Angelo Consolo of Revere, MA; 2 sisters: Phyllis Falbo of Waltham and Mary Scorzello of Reading; 4 grandchildren: Joel G. Maxwell, Janice E. Healey, Angela John and Maria Ippolito; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including a beloved niece: Petrina J. Zazzaretti; and a large circle of friends.
He was father-in-law of the late Joe G. Maxwell.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, August 30, 2007 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 4 - 7 P.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
