Marilyn E. Provencher, 69, of Vail, AZ, died Sunday, August 26, 2007 in Derry, NH. Mrs. Provencher was born in Beverly, MA on December 8, 1937, a daughter of the late William and Edna (Healy) Kimball. Formerly living in Derry until 1978, she and her husband moved to Phoenix, AZ for 22 years, prior to moving to Kansas for seven years, and Vail, AZ four years ago. She attended Pinkerton Academy in Derry and was a graduate of Moore General Hospital of Nursing in Goffstown, NH. Mrs. Provencher had been employed as a licensed practical nurse. She also ran a ceramics business for several years in the Southeast and traveled with her husband to numerous shows selling her wares.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard A. Provencher of Vail; one son, Richard A. Provencher, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Julie Ann Dorfman of Vail, and Stacy Lynn Hudson of Glendale, AZ; four grandchildren, Stephanie Dorfman, Jeffrey Dorfman, Naomi Brownlow, and Keith Williamson; one great granddaughter, Willow Newcomb; one brother, William Kimball of Derry; and one nephew, Jeffrey Kimball of Manchester, NH.
Friends called on Wednesday, August 29th from 5 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, with a funeral service beginning at 7:00pm. The burial will be in the All Faith Cemetery in Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10022.
