Obituary

Adelard O. LeBlanc, 88 of Franklin died August 25 in the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. He was the husband of the late Marion (Carpentier) LeBlanc who died in 1994.
Born in Woonsocket, November 8, 1918 the son of the late Edmond and Eugenie (Brien) LeBlanc, Mr. LeBlanc was a longtime Franklin resident.
Mr. LeBlanc had been a manager at the former American Felt Company in Franklin for many years. He also worked at the Shaw’s Supermarket in Franklin in his later years.
Mr. LeBlanc served in the Army during World War II. He was a Technician Fifth Grade and saw action at the “Battle of the Bulge” where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart.
Mr. LeBlanc was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Shaw of Bellingham and Jeannette Blais of Woonsocket.
He is also survived by his brother, Lucien LeBlanc of Woonsocket.
He was the brother of the late Florence Leblanc and Eugene LeBlanc.
He is also survived 5 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren and his niece, Diane Burlingame and nephews, Nicholas Burlingame and Kurt Shaefer.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, August 30 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 8:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
