Margaret M. Brown, a 30 year resident of Arlington and former long time resident of Charlestown, died on Sunday August 26, 2007 at the North End Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boston after a lengthy illness. She was 96 years old.
Margaret was born in Boston on September 2, 1910. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Girls Latin High School. She attended Boston University and recieved her Masters Degree in Education. Margaret is a retired teacher for the City of Boston where she taught at Boston Clerical School for many years.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Thomas F. and Margaret E. (Campbell) Brown. She is the beloved sister of the late Edward and Thomas F. Brown Jr. She is the cousin of Mary Catherine Wordell of Mattapoisett and the late Mary and Lillian McKay.
Margaret's visiting hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Frank H. Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
