WINDCREST, TX: Betty T. (Bowley) Pallazola Ferris, 81, formerly of Gloucester, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 in the Odyssey Hospice House in San Antonio, Texas following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Samuel J. Pallazola and the late Earl Ferris.
Born in Melrose on May 17, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Pauline (Edmondson) Bowley. She had resided in Gloucester for over fifty years before moving to Victoria, Texas in 1984 and then to Windcrest, Texas in 1995.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bernadette and Michael D’Alelio of Fairbanks, AK and Pauline and Mark Sprague of Victoria, TX, a son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Peggy Pallazola of Windcrest, TX, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother, John, husband of Ruby Bowley of Joshua Tree, CA, two sisters, Caroline Zannoni of Pelham, NH and Pauline Bason of Cope, SC, a sister-in-law, Margaret Bowley of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by five sisters, Mary Small, Josephine Rideout, Anastasia Stone, Elizabeth Smith and Marie Johnston and a brother, Edward H. Bowley, Jr.
Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 10 A.M. Visiting hours will be held on Monday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St., 5th Fl., Boston, MA 02110. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
