Roger R. Gauthier 64, died peacefully Monday at the Philip Hulitar Center in Providence surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was the husband of Jane (Stanley) Gauthier. Mr. Gauthier was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Romeo and Sylvia (Baillargeon) Gauthier. He retired in 2001 as a manufacturing supervisor from Crosby Valve and Gauge after 34 years of employment. Mr. Gauthier was a Vietnam War army veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Woonsocket Senior Quoits League, an avid golfer and enjoyed spending his winter in the sunshine of Hollywood, FL.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Glen P. Gauthier and his wife Julie of Cumberland, a daughter Michelle E. Gauthier of Woonsocket, a brother Normand Gauthier of Attleboro, MA., and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 pm.
