Dewitt House age 73, of Water Valley, MS died in the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS on Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Dewitt was retired from operating his own Glass Company, he served as a Deputy Sheriff for Yalobusha County, was a member of the V. F. W. and served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Dewitt was a member of the Water Valley Church of Christ.
Visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Friday, August, 24, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Saturday morning, August 25, 2007 at 10:00 AM in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Brother David Floyd officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with David Martin, Justin Mitchell, Caleb House, Walter Richardson, Michael Richardson and Brandon Richardson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are; Bill Williamson, Wilbur Herring, Garland Gholson, Joe House, David Lyles and Charlie Harris.
Surviving Mr. House are; his wife Betty Savage House of Water Valley, MS; daughter, Missy H. Mitchell and husband Michael of Water Valley, MS; son, Eddie D. House and wife Shirley of Bourbonnais, IL; one sister, Joan H. Savage of Bosie, ID;one brother, Albert House , Jr. and wife Ruth of Water Valley, MS; 5 grandchildren, David Martin, Jennifer Burrowes, Justin Mitchell, Caleb House and Britney Mitchell; one great-great grandchild, Chloe Burrowes.
Preceding Dewitt in death were his parents, Henry Albert and Jettie Shepard House; brothers, Loyd House, Harold (Jack) House, R. V. House and Dennis House;and one sister, Lucille H. Shepard.
