Obituary


Richard F. “Dick” Springham of Marshfield, formerly of Newton Upper Falls died on Monday, August 20, 2007 at his home. He was 61 years old. Born in Boston, Dick was raised in Newton and was a graduate of Newton South High School Class of 1964. Dick was a US Navy Vietnam War veteran. For many years, Dick worked as a truck driver for G & S Paper in Newtonville for many years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 25 and the American Legion. Dick enjoyed playing softball and was a sports fanatic. He was the beloved husband of Jean E. (MacDonald) and the son of the late John Harold and Elizabeth G (Duffy) Springham. Brother of the late John H. Jr. and Robert T. Springham. Dick is also survived by many nieces and one nephew. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Friday August 24 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Dick’s name may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, Bethany Healthcare Facility, 97 Bethany Rd, Framingham MA 01701.
