Hope M. (Gregory) Burke, 81, died Saturday, August 18 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Edward M. Burke. Born in Jamaica Plain section of Boston, she was a graduate of Lynn Schools. Mrs. Burke was a resident of Stoughton for the last 48 yrs. Mrs. Burke worked as a billing clerk for the former Jordan Marsh & Park Surgical in Stoughton, retiring in 1983 to care of her grandchildren.In her free time, she enjoyed arts & crafts.
In addition to her husband Edward, she is survived by her daughter, Beverly A. Bucklin of Stoughton. She was the sister of Carole Hunt of Peabody & the late Norma Flude & Bruce Gregory. |She also leaves her grandchildren, Kendra Bucklin and her partner Greg and James “J.J” Bucklin.
Funeral service will be held in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 906 N. Main St., Brockton on Wednesday, August 22 at 11 A.M. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton. Donations in her name may be made to the Arthritis Assn., 29 Crafts St., Newton, MA. 02458.
