Joseph A. Bellitti passed away on August 17, 2007. He was 76 years old.
Formerly of Dedham and East Boston, Joseph was a resident of Medford for 46 years. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Virginia (Navarro) Bellitti, his beloved wife of 53 years and had 3 children. He was the owner of the Belmar Co. in Melrose for 35 years. Joseph loved to fish and hunt in his spare time and was a member of the Woburn Sportsman Club and the Avid Ham Operater callsign NIFDS.
In addition to his wife Virginia, Joseph leaves his children Joseph Bellitti and his wife Angela of Malden, Laura Wilkicki and her husband Joseph of North Carolina and Gina Bellitti and her fiance Mark Hillson of New Hampshire. He was the dear brother of Beatrice Cardinale of Medford and the late John Bellitti, Jack Bellitti, Frank Bellitti and Lena Penzabene. Joseph was also the cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, August 23rd from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held after visitation at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
