Ella Mae Wiggins, 74, of Ocilla, died Monday, August 20, at Palemon Gaskins Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, August 22, at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church in Ambrose, with Elder Julius Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Wiggins was born March 18, 1933, in Coffee County, to the late Eddie and Beadie Harper Fussell. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Hybernia’s. Mrs. Wiggins lived most of her life in Irwin County and graduated from Coffee County High School in 1950. She was a former member of the Ocilla Jaycetts and a member of Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church in Ambrose.
Mrs. Wiggins is survived by her husband, John T. Wiggins of Ocilla; daughter, Nelda P. Walker of Ocilla; grandson, Brett Walker of Irwin County granddaughter, Hope Walker of Waycross; brothers, Dan Fussell and Edsel Fussell both of Ambrose; sisters, Cristy Vickers of Douglas, Grace Nunn of Jesup, Bessie Paulk of Ambrose, Eva Kirkland of Douglas and Wilma Brigmond of Ambrose as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carroll Paulk, son, Eddie Lamar Paulk and a brother, Harvey Fussell.
